Get recommended by AI for the clients you actually want in 90 days.
NJ SEO finds the searches and questions that signal a real buying decision from your ideal customer, gets your company recommended across ChatGPT, Google AI, and traditional search for those conversations, then optimizes the buyer journey to convert them to leads.

22+ years
of search marketing at Teknicks, our parent company — through every change Google has made since 2004.
Built on B2B
Managed IT, accounting, insurance, benefits, advisory, staffing, engineering and specialized B2B services.
New Jersey based
One state, focused on the markets you actually serve — county, region, statewide or national from a New Jersey base.
We will not run two companies competing for the same work in the same market — the call tells you whether yours is open.
01What changed
Your buyer can get an answer now without ever seeing your company.
Nothing went wrong with your website. The page your buyers land on simply looks different than it did three years ago, and the part you paid to be on is no longer the part they read first.
How buyers used to find you
- 1
Someone searches for your service and their town
- 2
They see a map and a list of company websites
- 3
They open three or four of them
- 4
They call the company whose page answered their question
Rank on that page and the phone rang. That is what your SEO investment was buying.
How they find you now
- 1
They ask Google or ChatGPT the question in plain words
- 2
They get one written answer at the top of the page
- 3
The answer names two or three companies, or a directory
- 4
They look up one of those companies by name and reach out
The list you rank on now sits below the answer, and often goes unread. Being named in the answer is the new shortlist — and it is what the 90-day sprint is built to earn.
02Five places a buyer can find you
One search page. Five different ways to be chosen.
Most companies are only being worked on for one of them — the links near the bottom.

The links you pay to rank in — now down here
- 01
Google's AI answer
Google now writes an answer at the top of the page for most business questions. Your listing is still below it. Fewer people scroll that far.
- 02
Google AI Mode
A chat version of Google, built into search. The follow-up questions happen inside Google now, so the only companies in the conversation are the ones Google pulls from.
- 03
ChatGPT and Gemini
Buyers ask them, in plain words, which provider to call. They answer with two or three names — or a directory. If you are not one of the names, you are not on the shortlist.
- 04
Google Maps
Still where people with an urgent problem go, and still the most common source these tools use when someone asks for a provider near a town.
- 05
The regular blue links
Not dead. This is where the AI answers get their information, which is why the site still has to be strong — it just is not the finish line anymore.
We are not going to tell you that SEO is dead. It is not. Google and ChatGPT build their answers mostly from websites that already rank well, so the work still matters. What changed is that ranking is now the price of entry, and almost nobody is checking the step that comes after it. Our 90 days works all five surfaces at once, for the service lines and markets you name on day one.
03What we actually show you
A list of real buyer questions, and whether you were named.
We write down the questions your future clients ask, by service line and market. Then we check them every week and report which ones named your company, which named a competitor, and which named a directory.

Not named“Best IT support for a 50-person company in New Jersey”
Not named
Illustrative example. Your report uses the questions we define with you, by service line and market, with a baseline recorded at kickoff so day 90 can be compared to day one. Because we sample rather than measure every query, these results are labeled directional.
04The problem with your report
The report looks fine. The phone says otherwise.
Most companies we talk to are not invisible. They rank for something, a report shows up every month, and the numbers on it have not really moved. What that report does not show is whether Google is now answering the question before anyone reaches your listing, whether your company was mentioned in that answer, or whether the buyer ever scrolled far enough to see you at all.
It also does not tell you the thing you actually care about: how much of the work you want to win came from any of it.
Then there is the last step, which almost nobody looks at. Someone finds you, reads a page written for a search engine instead of for a buyer comparing three vendors, and reaches out. If nobody responds the same day, or the first conversation does not qualify for the work you want, the marketing did its job and you still have nothing.
The question is not whether you are still ranking. It is whether buyers are finding you, hearing your name, and reaching out — and whether that is producing the engagements you are trying to grow.
05Before you call us, call them
Four things your current agency will say — and the question that settles each one.
We would rather you get a straight answer from the people you already pay than switch because we told you to. If they can answer these, keep them.
“We’re already covered for AI — it just uses the same rankings.”
Ask
Then show me the list of buyer questions you check, and whether we were named in the answers last month.
If nobody wrote down the questions, nobody is checking. This is a list your agency either has or does not have.
“Traffic is down everywhere. It’s happening to everyone.”
Ask
Which of our searches now show a Google AI answer, and are we mentioned in them?
“Everyone” is not a diagnosis. This can be checked search by search, and you are owed the answer.
“Rankings are stable and impressions are up.”
Ask
How many qualified opportunities did we get, in the services and markets we asked for?
Impressions go up when Google adds an AI answer to the page. It is the number that can improve while your pipeline gets quieter.
“Nobody can measure ChatGPT.”
Ask
Not exactly, no. But you can check it every week and show me the trend. Are we doing that?
A weekly check is an estimate, and we say so. An estimate beats no information at all.
06The NJ SEO Growth Method
Five steps between a search and a signed client.
We work on and report all five. Most agencies only work on the first two, which is why a company can look like it is improving and not feel any of it.
Stage 01
Map
Understand what your buyers are trying to accomplish and where they search.
Buyer research, the searches and AI questions that signal real intent, competitor and sales intelligence — by service line, market and buying stage — so we work on the opportunities most likely to produce revenue.
Stage 02
Capture
Build what buyers need to find when they are making a decision.
Service-line pages written for the buyer, technical and AI-answer foundations, and the comparison, category and industry content people actually read before they call.
Stage 03
Influence
Strengthen why Google, AI and buyers should trust the recommendation.
The reviews, publications, associations, directories and third-party sources that shape a decision — and that make it likelier an AI answer names your company instead of a directory.
Stage 04
Convert
Turn discovery into the right next action.
Page design, messaging, proof and testing, plus an inquiry and follow-up path built for a considered purchase rather than an impulse one.
Stage 05
Compound
Let real business results decide what happens next.
Every qualified inquiry traced back to its source, reported by service line and market, so investment moves toward the buyer journeys producing actual clients.
Where companies usually measure
Stages 01–02: rankings, impressions, sessions.
Where deals are usually lost
Stages 03–04: page relevance and how fast an inquiry gets a real answer.
What we report at day 90
Stage 05: qualified leads, by service line and market, against baseline.
07New Jersey, your market
We build visibility where your buyers actually search.
Market-level targeting
Visibility built where your buyers are.
New Jersey buyers search by town and county, and assistants resolve local questions the same way — but scope follows the buyer, not a fixed boundary. Some companies serve a single county, others reach across the state or beyond, so we target, compete and report on the service lines and markets you can actually serve. We also will not run two direct competitors in the same market at the same time.
Highlighted counties are shown for illustration.
08Why professional services are different
Marketing an expertise business is not like marketing a product.
Five things that change what we recommend, in what order, and what we will not spend your money on.
The right clients, not more traffic
You do not need more visitors. You need the engagements you actually want to sell, in the markets you can serve.
New Jersey, but your actual market
Some firms win county by county. Others serve the whole state, the tri-state area or the nation from a New Jersey base. We target the geography that matches how your buyers actually search and how you actually deliver.
You are not only competing with peers
Directories, marketplaces and lead sellers outspend every independent firm — and they are what Google and ChatGPT name when they cannot name you.
Nothing publishes without your approval
Every page and article goes through your expert review. A plan that ignores that time is a plan that never ships.
Follow-up decides everything
How fast an inquiry gets a real answer, and what happens in the first two minutes, decides whether any of this becomes revenue.
09One system
It all works together, or none of it works.
Getting named in AI answers, ranking in Google, showing up in Maps, the writing, the site itself, your reviews, and how calls are handled are not a menu of services. They are one system, and it is only as strong as its weakest part.
AI answer visibility
Whether you are named when an assistant is asked to recommend a provider — tracked against a defined question set, by service line and market.
Organic search
Service-line and market visibility in Google's standard results, built on pages your best salesperson would stand behind.
Local & Maps
Profile structure, categories, service areas and review posture for single and multi-office companies — the grounding most local prompts resolve against.
Content
Expert-reviewed pages and articles written from your sales calls and proposals, with a review path that respects your team's time.
Technical SEO
Crawlability, site structure, speed, and templates that let good content compete at all.
Authority
Directory accuracy, legitimate citations, and the associations that establish you as a real entity a model can recognize.
Buyer journey
Page-level design and messaging decisions that turn a researching buyer into a conversation without gimmicks.
Measurement
Call and form tracking mapped to your definition of a qualified lead, reported by service line, market and search surface.
These are not eight services to select from. They are eight dependencies of one outcome: a qualified lead in a service line you actually want. We sequence them against that outcome, and we say plainly which ones your company does not currently need.
10Who we serve
Two decades of search, spent on considered, high-value services.
NJ SEO is the professional services division of Teknicks, a search marketing company with more than twenty years of experience. We work with managed IT providers, accounting and advisory firms, commercial insurance and benefits brokers, financial advisors, staffing and recruiting firms, architecture and engineering practices, consultancies, commercial real estate teams, and specialized B2B service companies across New Jersey.
What those businesses share is a long, comparison-heavy buying cycle in which the buyer forms an opinion of you before anyone at your company knows they exist. That is the stretch we work on: the questions they ask, the answers they get, and what happens on your site afterward.
We say plainly what is experience and what is a current engagement, and we will not borrow credibility we have not earned with you.
What we will not do
- Publish testimonials, case studies or client names we have not been given permission to use.
- Present historical industry experience as a current engagement.
- Guarantee a ranking position, a lead volume, or a closed deal.
- Report a number we cannot trace back to the kind of work you told us you want.
11The 90-Day Growth Sprint
Review, priority plan, implementation, measurement.
Ninety days is long enough to fix what is structurally broken and prove the measurement, and short enough that nobody has to wait a year to judge the work.
- Days 1–14
Review
We audit visibility, site, local presence, AI citation footprint, and how inquiries are handled, and define with you what a qualified lead is for this company.
- Days 15–21
Priority plan
A ranked plan tied to the service lines and markets you want, with the reasoning, sequencing, and effort required from your team stated plainly.
- Days 22–75
Implementation
Technical fixes, page and content work through expert review, local and directory corrections, entity and citation work, buyer-journey changes.
- Days 76–90
Measurement
Qualified inquiries by service line and market, what moved, what did not, what we recommend next — and an honest read on the gap between the two.
Published pricing
Our fees are on the site. You should not have to sit through a call to learn them.
Four programs, from $4,500 to $18,000+ per month, with every inclusion listed line by line — including exactly what AI visibility work each one buys.
12What we hear on the first call
Six things owners say on the first call — and the honest answer to each.
None of these are unreasonable. Most of them were true two years ago. Here is where each one stands now, and what it means for the next 90 days at your company.
“We already pay for SEO. This is the same thing.”
Straight answer
It is the same foundation and a different finish line. Ranking makes your company eligible to be quoted; being named in the answer is a separate outcome, and almost nobody is checking it. Ask your agency for last month's list of buyer questions and whether you were named. If the list exists, you are in good shape.
“Nobody can actually measure ChatGPT.”
Straight answer
Not to the decimal, no. But you can define the questions your buyers actually ask, sample them weekly, and watch the trend by service line and market. We label it directional because it is. A weekly estimate is still the difference between managing this and guessing at it.
“Our pipeline is soft because of the economy.”
Straight answer
Sometimes. But that is a diagnosis you can test in an afternoon: run the searches your best clients would run, see which now open with a generated answer, and check whether your company is inside it. If your rankings held and inquiries dropped, the page changed — not the market.
“Our buyers come from referrals, not search.”
Straight answer
They come from referrals and then they check you. A referred buyer searches your name, your category and your competitors before the first call. What Google and ChatGPT say about you in that moment either confirms the referral or quietly kills it.
“We do not have time for a content program.”
Straight answer
Expect roughly two to four hours a month from one subject-matter expert, batched, not weekly. We write from your own sales calls, proposals and objections, so review is a read-and-approve pass rather than a writing assignment. Nothing publishes without your sign-off.
“We tried an agency. It did not work.”
Straight answer
Usually because reporting stopped at rankings and traffic, so nobody could tell whether the work produced the opportunities the company wanted. We define a qualified lead with you in week one and report against that definition — including what failed. Six-month initial term, then month to month.
13Questions we are asked
Cost, timeline, contract, and what we will not promise.
Next step
Get recommended by AI for the clients you actually want.
In 90 days we identify the searches and questions your buyers ask, get your company named across Google and AI search, and fix the buyer journey that turns that visibility into qualified leads.
